The 2005 volume of the ASHRAE Handbook covers basic principles and provides essential data for HVAC&R design. The Handbook gives you the information to:

The Fundamentals volume includes chapters dealing with theory, general engineering data, basic materials, load and energy calculations, duct and pipe fitting and more. Chapter 28, Climatic Design Information, contains information for 4,422 sites, an increase of some 3,000 sites over earlier volumes. Due to the amount of data, it is included on a CD accompanying the book, and now includes monthly data for stations around the world.
The volume also contains a new chapter, Chapter 26, Insulation for Mechanical Systems, which discusses thermal and acoustical insulation for mechanical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities
